Eight more charged in casino robberies

Tunica County officials announced Friday that the Sheriff's Department has made eight arrests in connection with the recent rash of casino robberies.

Five of the county's nine casinos have fallen prey to six robberies in the past few months. With the Lula-based Isle of Capri Casino included in the statistics, that number jumps to 10 robberies in the past several months.
The following people have been arrested in connection with the June 13 robbery of Sam's Town Casino:
* Kellery Liddell, 21, of Tunica was charged with robbery and is free on a $25,000 bond.
* Robert Boyd, (also known as Robert McCoy), 18, of Tunica, was charged with robbery and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
The following people were arrested in connection with either the Feb. 19 or May 10 robberies of Fitzgerald's Casino:
* Marcus Dockery, 23, of Tunica, was charged as an accessory and is free on a $2,500 bond.
* Derrick Brown, 25, of Tunica, was charged as an accessory and is free on a $2,500 bond.
* Antonio Bingham, 23, of Tunica, was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy. Bingham is in jail on a $250,000 bond.
* Marcus Smith, 24, of Tunica, was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy. Smith is being held on a $250,000 bond.
* Ronetta Campbell, 23, of Tunica, was charged as an accessory and is free on a $2,500 bond.
* Deona Smith, 22, address unknown, was charged as an accessory and is free on a $25,000 bond.
In addition to the eight suspects listed above, five people have been arrested in connection with the recent Isle of Capri Casino robberies, said Coahoma County Sheriff Andrew Thompson Jr.
Thompson said that members of the FBI, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Coahoma and Tunica county sheriff's departments met Thursday night to work on more arrests.
