The Millard Fillmore House & Museum is located on Shearer Ave. in the Village of East Aurora. This Circa 1825 cottage was built by Millard Fillmore, who later became President of the United States.
Even though the house was moved from its original Main Street location, the significance of the home as actually constructed by a president made it eligible to be named a National Historic Landmark. The original portion of the home is furnished in the period, and includes some original Fillmore furnishings.
A later addition to the home houses items from Fillmore's presidential years.
The home is open to the public on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, June through mid-October.
