The Connecticut Wolves dropped the first game of its Southern trip with a 2-1 loss to the Nashville Metros Friday night at Ezell Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.
The Wolves struck first as midfielder Temoc Suarez corralled a misplay 30-yards out and blasted it into the net in the 27th minute. The goal spurred the Wolves for the rest of the half as they dominated action but were unable to score another goal.
The Metros, who created few opportunities all game long got on the board in the 69th minute.

Jamie Bailey ran onto a loose ball on the right edge of Wolves box.His cross deflected off defender Tony Soto and into the back of the Wolves net. After several missed opportunities the Wolves defensive misplays hurt them again.
Jakob Fenger controlled the ball in the 84th minute in the Wolves end and poked it past the diving Adam Throop to give Nashville the game winner.
The Wolves (8-4=5) will travel tonight to take on the Atlanta Silverbacks at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta.
