"I am disappointed because we had an opportunity to pull ahead of Hershey," Wolves coach Dan Gaspar said. "You can't be content with a tie at home."
After a lack luster first half the Wolves (8-3-5) came out in the second half with a purpose. The Wolves were able to use their speed up front getting good opportunities on goal and in the 52nd minute broke through.

the right sideline and split the Lynx defenders on a streak to the net. With only Lynx goalie Theo Zagar to beat, Manganello lofted a soft shot over Zagar for the score.
"It is hard playing with new guys. They have to have confidence in you," said Manganello, who played against the Wolves twice in Open Cup play this season. "I didn't think I played my best. They are a very talented team and are very fast in the midfield and up front. You can tell it is the next level up."
The Wolves had several chances to put the game away for good in the second half. Winston Griffiths hit the side panel and Manganello couldn't connect on a cross to Griffiths as the score stayed tied.
As the second half wore on the Lynx (3-10-2) were starting to get better chances on the Wolves defense. Wolves goalie Anthony Latronica made several saves and caught a break when an apparent goal off a header was disallowed in the 68th minute with an offside call.
In the 80th minute the Lynx tied the score when Brian Ashton found himself alone on the right side 18-yards out and grounded a ball to the near post past a sliding Latronica to tie the score.
In injury time the Wolves almost pulled out the game when Griffiths floated the ball to the front of the net to Patrick Beech but the ball was cleared out by a diving Lynx defender. In the overtime neither team gained an advantage as both team earned a point for the tie.
"In the second half we were more energized. We played with two D3 players and they really helped us," Gaspar said. "we made the right decision bringing them up and resting our players for the back-to-back."
The Wolves are now tied for first place with idle Hershey in the standings with 38 points and will face a stiff test with games on Friday at Nashville and Saturday against the Atlanta Silverbacks.
