Reagan Bellard of Panora was charged by Panora police with driving on the wrong side of the road after a Thursday, August 2 accident at West 2nd and Main.
He was traveling east on Highway 44 shortly before 8:30 a.m. when his 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier veered to the left and hit an unoccupied pick owned by Larry Hills which was parked on the north side of the street. According to the accident report, Bellard said he fell asleep less than two blocks from home.
Sunday, July 29, 12:04 p.m., Jacob Hackley, DeSoto, was eastbound on 268th Street near Morrisburg when he stated he swerved to miss a deer in the road. He entered the north ditch, rolling his 2001 Honda Accord on its top. Two passengers in the vehicle were injured in the roll over: Evan Dollens and Trystin Thhaduse, both of DeSoto. Both refused treatment by Panora EMS on scene. Hackley was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. Damage to his Accord was estimated at $5,000.

Both vehicles were towed as fenders were pushed into tires.
