Allison Lingren has been selected as the Young Artist Stage Director for Opera North in Lebanon, NH. She will be directing "The Cunning Little Vixen" and assistant-directing "The King and I" during Opera North's 30th summer festival season. Lingren received a Master of Music In Vocal Performance in 2010 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she studied with Dr. Bill Shomos. She has a Bachelor's of Music In Vocal Performance from Millikin University in Decatur, IL. Lingren is employed as a Teaching Artist for the Opera Kids program at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She also is a vocal and piano instructor at Chicago-area studios and a member of the Music Teachers National Association and North Shore Music Teachers Association in Evanston, IL. Lingren has performed in "The Zoo" and "Trial by Jury" with The Savoyaires in Chicago and with Opera on Tap and The Center on Halsted. She is an adjunct educational theater instructor at the summer program of the Des Moines Community Playhouse. Lingren is a 2004 OHS graduate and the daughter of Stan and Cheryl Lingren of Pilot Mound. |
