DWAIN "LIPPY" MYERS-82
Dwain Myers, Guthrie Center, died May 22, 2012 at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center due to complications after surgery. He was born in Eldon, Iowa November 13, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Veda (Bartholomew) Myers and three siblings. He is survived by his wife, Lois Jean (Tuel); son, Richard (Karen) of Liberty, Mo.; daughter, Becky Maxon of Guthrie Center; daughter, Kathy (Barry) Chalfant of Casey; grandson, Jeffrey (Sara) Myers of Bethlehem, Ga.; step-grandson, Jon Mayotte of Kansas City, Mo.; and five siblings.
Dwain briefly worked for the railroad after returning from the Army in Ft. Leonardwood, Mo. He farmed from around 1953 until he retired. He lived at Lake Viking in Gallatin, Mo., and then moved into Gallatin before residing in Guthrie Center in 2004.
He enjoyed visiting with friends, playing cards, taking walks at the park and taking his family out to eat.
Services will be at the Morrisburg Church north of Stuart at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, followed by a lunch.
