The Guthrie County Sheriff released details of four mishaps this week. Tuesday, May 15, 8:40 p.m., Gary Guisinger, Stuart, was backing a 2007 GMC C7500 truck from a driveway on the east side of North Division Street in Stuart. At the same time, Julie Shepherd, Stuart, was backing her 2009 Chevy TRV out of a parking spot on the west side of the street. Guisinger's truck crossed center line and impacted Shepherd's vehicle. Guisinger's truck was not damaged, but Shepherd's Chevy received an estimated $5,000 damage. Monday, May 14, 9:08 p.m., Kevin Durbin, Jefferson, was northbound on Highway 141/4 north of Yale on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he collided with a deer in the road. Durbin was thrown from the motorcycle after impact. He was transported from the scene to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines by Panora Rescue. Damage to Durbin's motorcycle was estimated at $5,000. Charges are pending awaiting proof of financial liability insurance. Tuesday, May 8, 7:52 a.m., Stephen Sheer, Jefferson, was westbound on Highway 141 in Bayard driving a 2008 Ford F25 pickup towing an enclosed trailer. Traveling eastbound in a 1997 Mack semi was Dale Kay, Avoca. Kay told the investigating officer he fell asleep while driving. His truck crossed center line, striking Sheer's trailer, flipping it over on its right side on the north shoulder. Damage to Kay's semi was estimated at $3,500. Sheer's trailer damage was also estimated at $3,500. Kay was cited for driving left of center line. Saturday, May 5, noon, Tomas Avey, Casey, was westbound on Fourth Street in Casey in a 1999 Dodge R15 pickup. Adam Magill, also of Casey, was southbound on McPherson approaching Fourth Street. Avey failed to yield right of way when the vehicles met at the intersection, running into Magill's 1994 GMC Sierra pickup. Magill was taken to Guthrie County Hospital by Adair EMS. His pickup received an estimated $3,000 damage. Damage to Avey's pickup was estimated at $4,000,
