Guthrie Center Tiger golfers put together two of their best performances of the season in their final week of preparation before this Friday's Sectional tournament in Greenfield.

Thursday at home, the Tigers fired a season best 169 as a team, defeating Coon Rapids-Bayard (180) and West Central Valley (207).
Seven Tiger golfers scored 45 or under.
Patrick Ahrens was medalist with a 39 and Payden Willms runner-up at 42.
The remainder of a hot Tiger squad included Keaton Rhoades 44, Zeb Osen 44, Chris Shroyer 44, Caleb Wulf 44, Gavin McGivney 45, and Jared Baier 52.
CR-B Invitational
Saturday the Tigers finished second in an eight team tournament at Coon Rapids just five strokes behind team champion Boyer Valley.
The Tigers were led by medalist Patrick Ahrens, who won with 74 strokes in a two hole overtime match against Boyer Valley's Luke Elder.
Other Tiger scoring: Payden Willms 84, Gavin McGivney 90, Zeb Osen 90, Keaton Rhoades 93, and Chris Shroyer 96.
Junior Varsity Golf
In a rare junior varsity meet, Guthrie Center defeated Perry 193 to 210 at home Tuesday evening.
The Tigers took both medalist and runner-up honors with Jared Baier firing a 45 and Caleb Wulf a 46.
