    Senatobia gears up for 19th Annual MayFair

    The 19th Annual Mayfair has been set for Saturday, May 12. The event will start at 9 a.m. and will go through 5 p.m. at Gabbert Park in Senatobia.
    MayFair will feature a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors, activities for children including inflatables and a paintball shooting range, live all-day entertainment from the Gabbert Park bandstand and lots of good festival food.

    Live from the Gabbert Park Bandstand, presented by the Sycamore Arts Council, will be the following:

    * 9:00 - Senatobia High School Band under the direction of Jeff West: Jazz Band, Trombone Quartet, Percussion Ensemble

    * 10:30 - NWCC Steel Drum Band under the direction of John Ungurait

    * 11:15 - Magnolia Heights Performing Arts Students, under the direction of Rick Crick

    * 12:00 - "Engage - Praise and Worship Band," Northwest Mississippi Home Educators

    * 1:00 - Ken Hatton & the Electric Rodeo

    * 1:45 - Musicians Ben Callicott and Garrett Reeves

    The Sycamore Arts Council has also partnered with the "Imagicopter" program to present a number of writers who will be on hand to talk about and autograph their current books.

    "Imagicopter" is the umbrella name of a group of writers and artists who organized to promote their own publications. The group's works have appeared in Kerlak Publishing, Literary Underground, Meadowhawk Press, Seventh Star Press, Twilight Times Books, Third Axe Media and Sam's Dot Publishing and by Word Catchers of Memphis.

    The following "Imagicopter" writers will be at Mayfair 2012:
