Tiger golfers traveled to Coon Rapids Monday, putting together a solid 18 hole performance to finish third in a 10 team field at the West Central Activities Conference Tournament.
"I was very pleased with a third place finish," commented Tiger Coach Lori McGivney.
Des Moines Christian had the three low scorers during the tournament: Chris Sturdivant 76, Ryan Minor 78, and Cody Carlson 79.
Panorama's Hunter Grunsted and Austin Moore each shot 82's to earn positions on the All-Conference team.
Guthrie was led by freshman Chris Shroyer, who fired an 84, one stroke short of being named to the first team All-Conference squad.
The meet also marked the return of Patrick Ahrens after two weeks on the injured list. Ahrens shot an 87. Other Tiger scores included Keaton Rhoades 91, Zeb Osen 91, Gavin McGivney 93, and Caleb Wulf 96.
The Tigers host Coon Rapids-Bayard and West Central Valley Thursday before traveling to the CR-B Invitational Saturday. Sectionals follow on May 11.
