Michael Beeler, 21, Menlo, who was charged last week with three felony counts in the death of his friend Justin Westfall - homicide due to intoxication, homicide due to recklessness, and leaving the scene of a fatality - appeared before Fifth District Judge Randy Hefner Monday and was granted release without bond from the Guthrie County jail through the state's pretrial release program.
In order to receive pretrial release, Beeler agreed to reside with his parents for the duration of the case, to receive a substance abuse evaluation as ordered by the court, to obtain employment within 30 days of release, and to appear at all court ordered functions.
Bond for Beeler had previously been set at $25,000.
