PANORMA BOYS GOLF

Boys fifth
at own golf
invitational

      Saturday the Panorama boys golf team ended fifth in the annual Panorama Boys Invitational at Lake Panorama National.
      South Hamilton was team champion with a 316 total followed by DM Christian 327, Dallas Center-Grimes 331, Audubon 361, Panorama 365, Guthrie Center 381, Adair-Casey 393, Earlham 415 and West Central Valley 428. IKM-Manning and Ankeny Christian Academy did not have full teams.
      Low man for Panorama was Hunter Grunsted with an 82. Austin Moore carded 84, Adam Dooley 92 and Robert Martin 107. Also competing were Hunter Kuta and Jacob and Ben Carroll.
      South Hamilton is ranked #4 in the state, DMC #7 and Panorama #15 in Class 2A. Grunsted is ranked #23 among individuals with an adjusted average of 41.44. Moore currently is #30 with an adjusted average of 42.04.


MEETS AT 5 BY 80, JEFFERSON
      At the 5 By 80 course near Menlo last Tuesday, Panorama's boys defeated North Polk, West Central Valley and Earlham to boost their record to 17-4.
      Panorama totaled 180 strokes to 190 for North Polk, 197 for West Central Valley and 198 for Earlham.
      Hunter Grunsted fired a round of 40 to lead the Panthers. Austin Moore toured the course in 46 and Robert Martin and Jacob Carroll both shot 47.
      The Panorama JV unit improved to 3-1. The young Panthers shot 215 to finish behind North Polk 207, but ahead of Earlham 225 and West Central Valley 232.
      Charlie Webster posted a 48 while Ben Carroll finished at 51, Hunter Kuta 56 and Dakota Redfern 60.

      Monday at Jefferson, Panorama improved to 25-8 with wins over Guthrie Center and Jefferson-Scranton. The Panthers totaled 177 to 184 for the Tigers and 190 for the host Rams.
      In near ideal conditions, the Panthers were led by Hunter Grunsted who shot 39. Adam Dooley fired a 44, Austin Moore came in at 45 and Charlie Webster 49. Robert Martin and Hunter Kuta had non-counting scores.
      The JV team shot 219 but Jefferson-Scranton totaled 204 and Guthrie Center 211.
      Low for Panorama was Dakota Redfern 50. Tyler Hochstetler shot 54, Reagan Bellard 55 and Joel Betzer 60. Also golfing were Brian Houston and Jake Cunningham.
