Obituaries for June 17 Edition

Margie Bell Rieger 1929-2010

Margie Bell Rieger, 80, Jonesburg, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, at Jonesburg Caring Center.

Mrs. Rieger was born June 15, 1929, in Truxton, the daughter of Clifford Andrew Bolton and wife Cora Bell, nee Gibson.

On May 7, 1949, in Warrenton, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Herbert "Bud" Rieger. They celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Mrs. Rieger was a homemaker. She was always tinkering around the house or in the garden. After working for the telephone company in Overland, her main job was to take care of her husband and family.

Mrs. Rieger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud, on Aug. 27, 2003, one daughter, Janet, and one sister, Dona Lee Bolton.

She is survived by two brothers-in-law, Louis Rieger and Carl Rieger and wife Sally, all of Jonesburg; her cousin Norma J. Gibson, Jonesburg; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 16, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton with the Rev. Darryl Bockting officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Normandy.

Memorials to Preferred Hospice in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.

The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.



Jerry Young Wilson

1944-2010

Jerry Young Wilson, 66, Warrenton, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton.

Mr. Wilson was born April 10, 1944, in Wynne, Ark., the son of Houston Wilson and wife Virginia Laverne, nee Young.

On Dec. 19, 1976, in Warrenton, he was united in marriage to Constance "Connie" Louise Bass.

Mr. Wilson was a S.M.A.R. at Boeing. He had been employed there for 38 years. He was a member of the Outlaws, a fast- pitch baseball league.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Deany R. Wilson and one sister, Margie A. Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Wilson, Warrenton; one son, Charles Wilson, Warrenton; one daughter, Felicia Wilson, Warrenton; two brothers, Houston A. Wilson and wife Joan, Bear Creek, Wis., and Henry R. "Ralph" Wilson and wife Mary, Texarkana, Ark.; two sisters, L. Katherine Mische, St. Charles, and Angelina M. Huyett, Stephens City, Va.; other relatives and many friends.

Memorials services will be held Saturday, June 19, at 3 p.m. at Warrenton Baptist Church.

Memorials to donor's choice in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383, are preferred.

The family is being served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.



Funeral services for Mary Jewell Schlueter, 90, Defiance, were held Wednesday, June 16, at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.

Mrs. Schlueter died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her home.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Shortt and husband Harold; other relatives and many friends.

The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.



Funeral services for Lester Thomas Gibbs, 64, St. Peters, were held Saturday, June 12, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.

Mr. Gibbs died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at his home.

He is survived by one son, Robert L. Gibbs; three daughters, Diane Ryan and husband Rick, Bridgette L. Gibbs and Angela O'Donnell and husband James; other relatives and many friends.

The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
