Brass City Ballet Offers 'Nutcracker' at Westover School

MIDDLEBURY - Brass City Ballet will present "The Nutcracker" at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, December 5, and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 6, at Westover School's Performing Arts Center, 1237 Whittemore Rd.More than 75 dancers from the greater Waterbury region have been cast in the production. During the performance, Brass City Ballet will collect new, unwrapped presents to donate to St. Mary's Pediatric Clinic in Waterbury. Several Brass City Ballet dancers, dressed in costume, will deliver the toys in person to the children who are hospitalized. Tickets to the performance are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and children 12 years-old and younger. With a community outreach mission to bring live theater to school-age children, Brass City Ballet will present an abridged version, "Nutcracker Sweets," at 9:45 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 4, at Westover School. Tickets for these shows are $6 per person for groups of 10 or more and $10 per person for individuals. Those seeking additional information may call 203-598-0186.
