Ray Primini was named chairman of the Town Council and Rich Mazzamaro was named chairman of the Board of Education in separate meetings on Monday, November 9. Both men were formerly vice-chairman of their respective commissions.

Mary Ann Rosa was also named vice-chairman of the Town Council, Tom Lambert was named vice-chairman of the Board of Education and Mary Colangelo was re-appointed to her position as secretary of the Board of Education.

Mr. Primini is currently serving his fifth term on the Town Council, and replaces Elaine Adams, who moved from the Republican Party to the Independent Party during the last election, as Town Council Chairman.

"He is an individual who has worked very hard on behalf of the town," said Ms. Rosa as she nominated Mr. Primini as chair. "He deserves it and can well perform the tasks needed as chairman."

Mr. Primini congratulated his fellow Town Council members and stated that he saw "a lot of experience here," noting that himself and Ms. Adams were in their fifth term, and that Paul Rinaldi was serving his ninth. He stated that new members Kace Duplissie and Linda Masayda had "a lot of hard work cut out" for them.

Mr. Lambert stated that Mr. Mazzamaro has always "gone above and beyond and shown his skills as vice-chairman." He stated that Mr. Mazzamaro was "well-known for his involvement with the Judson PTO," always volunteered with the policy subcommittee, and when the Budget Subcommittee needed help, he was "always there."

"I look forward to working with [Mr. Mazzamaro] on the board as chairman," agreed new board member Sean Butterly.
