Using a bend-but-don't-break defense and strong ground game, Harlan Community (12-0) defeated Sioux City Bishop Heelan (10-2) in a battle of powerhouse schools, 21-14, in a Class 3-A playoff quarterfinal Friday night at Merrill Field. Sophomore safety Luke Musich snared a corner endzone interception to seal the victory with 39 seconds left, giving the Cyclones the win and a trip to the UNI-Dome on Monday, November 16 in Cedar Falls.
