A court ruling last week put South Dakota’s smoking ban on hold until voters decide its fate next November. Do you think it is a good thing that the issue will be decided by a vote rather than being instituted by the state legislature?

It must be a diving board the boys are sitting on. Do you know where this was taken? Who are the boys?
Britton Journal Photo Trivia readers solved half of the mysteries of three weeks ago and also added some names to a photo featured in the Sept. 16 edition.
Ed Jerde of Britton discovered the picture of the four football players in his father's scrapbook, and his version featured clean pants, not the muddy-looking ones published in the paper. Our photo must have been damaged along the way to make it just look like mud.
Players identified in the book left to right are Charles Morehead, Bill Deasy, Jim VanKirk, and Des Jerde.
Alice Schroeder of Laramie, WY, recognized the photo of the group of women as a bowling team at Lucy Downie's house following a bowling session. From left to right are Lucy Downie, Bonnie Friebel, Marie Shanks, Alice Schroeder, Ruth Kurth, and Audrey Locke.
The portraits of the man and woman were provided by Erlyne Nelson of Veblen. The photos were found in an attic and she thinks they are pictures of her grandparents (Moser and Smart). Can anybody help her out by confirming their identities?
Former Britton resident Les Eberlein, now of Rapid City, also called to help identify the photo of six weeks ago in the Britton High School class of 1942. Eberlein, a Class of 1942 member, said he graduated from eighth grade at country school before going to Britton and that the picture would likely have been taken in 1938 before he began attending at Britton.
In front left to right are Eugene Stocking, Dale Debilzan, Ross Mann, Reuben Tom, James Kelley, ??, Melva McDermott, Ruth Traphagen, and Ruth Irwin. Second row ? Obrien, Martha Bates, Joyce Long, Margaret Bates, Muriel Warwick, Frances Dyer, Alice Smith, Irma Jean Fryer, and Mildred Carlson. Back row Russell Traphagen, Waldo Jerde, ??, ??, Sheldon Jahnig, Fred Eikamp, Frank Schroeder, Lorraine Graorud, and ??.
