City's $20,000 winner wishes to remain anonymous
By: Jim Bell 11/06/2009
Barron's $20,000 Power Ball winner is camera shy and wishes to remain anonymous, at least for now, according to Korner Stop manager Dennis Olson.

Olson said the winner has talked to him and that he is a well-known resident of the city. "Other than that, I have to respect the winner's request to remain anonymous," Olson said.

Olson added that as far as he knew, the winner has yet to claim the money. "You would either have to mail the winning lottery ticket to Madison or drive down there to get the money. I would think most people would prefer to drive."

A call to Wisconsin's Power Ball contact Jessica Iverson wasn't much help. Iverson was gone on Monday and a Tuesday attempt to contact her was met with a request for a mail box number, which, of course, the News-Shield didn't have. After a short pause a recording asked us to "please call back later".
