GROTON, Conn. - Matthew Ziegenhagen (left) and Stephen Emblidge (right), athletes for the Special Olympics Connecticut Eastern Region celebrate their awards at the Bowling Qualifer held at Holiday Bowl in Groton, Oct. 25. PCU Missouri provided eleven Sailors, as well as several family members to help out with the event. The volunteers assisted with scorekeeping, presenting awards and escorting athletes. Missouri has provided volunteers for many recent events including the furniture move at the State Veteran's Home in Rocky Hill and the Groton Fall Festival. The Sailors enjoy helping out in their communities. "It is something fun to do, and a way to give back to the community," said Missouri Sailor, Fire Control Technician Second Class (SS) Ryan Thruston.
