In Woodbury Zoning Commission
Sets Two O&G Public Hearings

WOODBURY - Two Zoning Commission public hearings on O&G Industries' applications were scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, at the Annex Conference Room, 297 Main St. South, according to draft motions from the Tuesday, October 13, Zoning Commission meeting.

O&G Industries has applied for a 2010-11 earth excavation permit renewal for the Stiles Road Quarry and a 2010-11 earth excavation permit renewal for the Park Road Quarry.

In other news, the commission authorized Zoning Enforcement Officer Joe Chapman to issue the necessary permits for exterior modifications at Jav's Restaurant, 121 Main St. North, with the goal of re-opening the restaurant. Mr. Chapman was also authorized to issue the permits for the following: a change of use in the Main Street Design District, from antiques to a law office, at 244 Main St. South; an earth excavation renewal for two parcels at 167 Quassuk Rd.; and an earth excavation renewal for pond material at 167 Quassuk Rd.

Commissioners tabled discussion on the Women's Club of Woodbury annual House Tour and the Woodbury Junior Women Craft Fair.

The next Zoning Commission meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, at the Annex Conference Room.
