The 54th Annual Pleasantview sale offers a variety of meals and great selection of items for auction to raise funds for Pleasantview Home Friday and Saturday, Oct.23 and 24, in the Kalona Sales Barn.
The Benefit Sale fundraiser gets underway Friday evening with a turkey tenderloin meal served from 4:30 to 8 p.m. There will also be an "all you can eat" breakfast of pancakes & sausage served 6 a.m. to noon on Saturday morning. Both meals are by cash donation. Carryouts will be available on all meals and snacks.
The auction of donated items will begin at 6 p.m. Friday. The auction resumes at 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when there is a break. The auction resumes 5 p.m. on Saturday and will last until all items are sold.
Entertainment Friday evening will be the Great Blue Grass Herons. Saturday evening entertainment will be the Wellman Mennonite Worship Team.
"We want to thank everyone who was so gracious in donating items for the auctions, money and food," said Edie Kemp who co-chairs this year's event with her husband Dan. "We also appreciate everyone who has volunteered to help with this special community event."
