HARLAN -- Little Angels Preschool in Harlan, part of Shelby County Catholic School, was recently awarded a Level 4 rating with the State of Iowa. The State of Iowa Quality Rating System (QRS) has awarded Little Angels the Level 4 rating, which requires: meeting state requirements for chiild care center licensing; working with a child care nurse consultant and staying current in CPR and first aid; providing additional education and experience for staff members; and complying with health and safety requirements, as well as working with parents.
Little Angels Preschool Teacher Joy Petersen and SCCS Principal Ann Andersen said this week they've set their sights on Level 5, the highest ranking possible. All QRS programs have made a commitment to providing quality care and education to children. For more information about the pre-school or to schedule a visit, contact the school office at 755-5634.
