Services for Donald S. Weeks, of Monticello, are 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church with burial in Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Weeks, 72, died Oct. 14, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Madison County on Dec. 2, 1936, to Homer L. Weeks and Nattie Hill Weeks.

After serving Monticello for 30 years as a rural mail carrier for Route 1, Mr. Weeks retired with a total of 40 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He also served 10 years with the Air National Guard. He was a member of Monticello Methodist Protestant Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, Homer Weeks Jr. and Bill Weeks.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Calcote Weeks, of Monticello; a son, Donnie S. Weeks Jr., of Monticello; his daughters, Janie Blakeney and Judy Boone, both of Monticello; a brother, Walter Weeks, of Madison; his seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
