The new surgical center at Guthrie County Hospital continues to attract specialty services. GCH announced eye surgery now is being offered.
      Dr. Andrew Steffensmeier, M.D., Des Moines, is performing cataract and refractive surgery at Guthrie County Hospital on a monthly basis.
      Earlier this year, a plastic surgeon began performing surgeries at the local hospital.
      Next summer, an orthopaedic surgeon is scheduled to join the GCH staff.
