SUV hits pickup near Nunda
By CHUCK CLEMENT, Staff Reporter 09/28/2009
According to the Lake County Sheriff's Department, Wynne Reese, 40, of Madison was driving east alone on 222nd St. just west of 457th Ave. at 6:50 p.m. Brandon Dewitt, 33, of Wentworth had parked a 1999 Ford F-150 pickup on the north side of the gravel road facing west and carrying two passengers.

Reese's 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe came over a hill at 55 mph and the driver saw the parked pickup. Reese tried to slow the sports-utility vehicle and lost control of the Tahoe. The two vehicle collided head-on. Deputy Mark Reif reported that two persons were transported from the scene to receive medical care.

Damages to the Ford pickup were estimated at $8,000 and damages to the SUV were reported as $8,500.

Reese was cited for careless driving.
