Gingerich is currently working as managing editor of "Gather 'Round", a Christian education curriculum for children, youth and adults published cooperatively by MPN and Brethren Press.
Prior to her work with "Gather 'Round, Gingerich worked from 1998-2004 as a reporter, section editor, copy editor, columnist and page designer for the South Bend Tribune in Indiana and for the Vacaville Reporter in California.
Gingerich is a 1995 graduate of Iowa Mennonite School and a 1999 graduate of Goshen College. She has a master of divinity degree from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkley, California and studied at Eastern Mennonite Seminary in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She and her husband Ryan Claassen reside in Hudson, Ohio. Gingerich is the daughter of former area residents Firman and Susan Gingerich now of Perkasie, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of Ellen Yoder of Kalona.
