CMC is a Christian fellowship of evangelical Anabaptist churches in North America. CMC has 110 congregations with 11,557 members in 24 states, one Canadian province, and Mexico. It also maintains active contact with international affiliates in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Haiti, India, Kenya, and Nicaragua that represent about 450 congregations.
The last time Kalona hosted the conference was in 2001.
Family oriented, members plan their vacations around attendance to this event. It is held in late July or early August and rotates among nine host church communities.
Annual conference sessions begin with a Taste of Missions on Thursday evening. On Friday morning and afternoon children, youth, women and men meet separately with programs geared toward specific needs. Friday evening the entire conference meets for a program on Christian education. Saturday's sessions include an adult choir, speakers, and workshops. The conference concludes on Sunday with a missions program in the morning.
