The Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation held its second annual wine tasting event earlier this month at Roma View Catering.
Wine vendors from Vineyard 48 in Cutchogue, Martha Clare Vineyards in Riverhead, Prestige Wine Imports and Nino Sclafani wines were all featured during the evening.

Guests enjoyed featured samples of the participating wineries with specialty meats and cheeses donated by foundation member Mike Celentano.
Proceeds raised from the event were donated to New York Families for Autistic Children, a locally-based charitable organization that offers care and services for children with autism and their families.
“The warmth with which the Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation has embraced NYFAC and other community groups is a testimony to their boards’ dedication to give back to the community that supports their fundraising efforts,” said NYFAC President and CEO Andrew Baumann, who was presented a check for $4,000. “I can’t begin to express how much this means to these kids.”
