WASHINGTON-Senator Chuck Grassley announced the Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration has awarded seven grants totaling $2,711,920 to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Included was a $355,680 grant to help refurbish 22 miles of back country trails located at Whiterock Conservancy in Guthrie County to provide a safe, environmentally sustainable, and educational recreation destination in west-central Iowa.
Whiterock is located southeast of Coon Rapids.
