With Flag Day right around the corner and the Fourth of July just a few weeks away, many residents are eager to show their patriotic pride by displaying a flag, metallic star or red, white and blue banner on their front door, window or lawn.
Dom Papa, above, the unofficial “Flagman of Howard Beach,” wants to remind readers that Cedarhurst Paper, located at 160-42 Cross Bay Blvd., boasts a full house of patriotic merchandise, including miniature flags, ribbons and border paper for school bulletins.

“We have servicemen all over the world,” Papa said. “Let them know we’re supporting them!”
