"Hannah's table is an inspiring piece that captures the heart of the show," is how art show judge, Kerri Pohlner described the winning entry by Hannah Van Sickle. "Her creative use of typography and imagery, along with exploring a variety of media makes her table best of show."
Pohlner is an OHS graduate and a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design and a minor in advertising. She interned at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO in the summer of 2007, working in the gift wrap and party department.
The OHS Spring Art Show was held Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the Ogden High School gym.
Art instructor Kara Bishop said the kids did a fantastic job this year. "I had fun being their facilitator in the art room. It is neat to see individual growth in techniques and ideas over the year. The show also summarizes various styles and personalities."
