The Panora city council meeting Monday evening may be available for viewing on the city's website. City electric superintendent Doug Long videoed the meeting. He will try to get it on the website at cityofpanora.com. About three years ago the council set five overall goals based on a consensus. They will do this again as each member is to develop five goals, which will be sifted down into plans to which all rnembers agree. Ilene Olson was renamed to the Board of Adjustment. The council also discussed possible guidelines for individuals appointed the city boards. A public hearing was held on a proposed loan agreement for the sale of up to $700,000 of general obligation bonds. No one appeared at the hearing and the agreement was approved unanimously. The council officially set fees for cleanup day Saturday. There will be no rebate checks from the REC on water heaters purchased. Instead a discount will be given when the heater is purchased. A formal written agreement will be drawn up between the city and P.E.T.S., which takes care of some of the animal problems in the city. Currently the relationship is based only on the city animal ordinance. Sheriff Marty Arganbright held an informational meeting here Monday evening on starting a reserve deputy program.
