Maritime Strategy: Forum to be held at U.S. Coast Guard Academy

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Surface Navy Association (SNA) members; active duty, reserve and retired military personnel; Navy League members; industry representatives, media and interest ed individuals are encouraged to attend SNA's First Annual Maritime Security Forum March 25, at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.
This event will bring Navy, Coast Guard, Industry, Inter-agency and International stakeholders together to discuss the Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower and how it applies to maritime security.
Attendees will learn about:
The threats to America and its allies are both large and small.
Disruptions to maritime commerce have global implications.
How homeland defense begins far from our shores, and involves a broad spectrum of participants, each with vital capability and capacity.
How armed services and civilian agencies cooperate to share information and act upon that information.
How industry contributes to global maritime domain awareness.
How technology, operation, policy, information-sharing and operations must be coordinated to achieve maritime security.

While their is no cost to attend the sessions, advance registration is required. Tickets for lunch are $5 for members and $8 for non-members.
