Home show to feature 32 vendors Saturday

Some 32 vendors will have a variety of home improvement products for visitors to the lst Annual Home Show, sponsored by The Kalona News, at the Kalona Rec Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.
There is no charge for the event that is open to the public.
The Kalona News advertising Director April Rigsby has coordinated the Home Show, which is one of a kind event designed to benefit the entire Kalona community. Proceeds from the show will help benefit The Kalona News Newspaper in Education (NIE) program.
The special Home Improvement issue in this edition of The Kalona News features ads and stories from the vendors and other home improvement specialists in the area.
"We appreciate the effort that April Rigsby has put into this show and the support of the advertisers and vendors for the Home Show section," commented publisher Ron Slechta. More details on the show can be found in the Home Show and Improvement section in this issue of The Kalona News."
In addition to the exhibitors, there will be a number of door prizes to be given away each hour.
The door prizes include:
Day getaway for two at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, $50 Gift Card from Tuscan Moon Grill on Fifth, Creative Memories Products from Agni Wasson, 2 Free Service calls from Kuenster Heating & Air, 4-Hour DJ Service from Stardust Entertainment, School Supplies from Living Water Graphics, Gift Certificate from Discovery Toys, Humidifier from Modern Climate Systems, Gift Basket from the Kalona Bakery, two 60W energy saving light bulbs from Energy Doctor, Sterling Silver Necklace from Don's Jewelry, one year's subscription to The Kalona News, and a Kalona Centennial Book from the Kalona Chamber of Commerce.
There will be "goodie bags" for the first 100 visitors to the show.
