Police: Health care aide was smoking crack

RED HOOK - Two people, including a home health care aide, were arrested Thursday for smoking crack cocaine and drinking alcohol at an elderly patient's residence on the Bard College campus, Red Hook village police said Tuesday.

Jacqueline M. Jones, 44, and Musa Sillah, 34, both of East 166th Street, the Bronx, were charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Jones, a health care provider, was also charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

Police said they were dispatched to 1448 Annandale Road to investigate a possible disturbance and found the pair intoxicated and under the influence of narcotic drugs. Red Hook police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and Bard College campus security.

Police said the elderly patient, whom they did not name, was a retired member of Bard's faculty.

Following arraignment in Red Hook VillageCourt, Jones and Sillah were sent to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail each.
