HURON -- A man suspected of being an illegal alien was charged with gross sexual imposition after he was accused of entering an apartment and lying down next to and touching the thigh of a sleeping 8-year-old girl, according to Huron police.

Lucio Sanchez-Martinez, 32, also was charged with entering the apartment where the girl lived with her father and two other children, said Huron police Chief Randy Glovinsky.

Huron police began investigating the morning of Aug. 8, when they received a call for a sex offense investigation, according to the police report.

When officers arrived at an apartment building in the 600 block of Cleveland Road about 9:30 a.m., they found Sanchez-Martinez and the girl's father had gotten into a physical altercation, the report said.

The girl told police she was sleeping and awoke to find a man lying next to her and rubbing her thigh, Glovinsky said. The girl said the man pretended to be asleep but had a smile on his face, according to the report.

The girl went into another room and told her father who then left the apartment to confront the man, Glovinsky said.

The father found Sanchez-Martinez and said Sanchez-Martinez threw a punch at him, according to the police report. The father told police he ducked the punch, then punched Sanchez-Martinez in the face and threw him down a flight of stairs. Sanchez-Martinez suffered slight injuries, but the father was not charged in the incident, Glovinsky said.

Sanchez-Martinez did not live in the building, but apparently was visiting someone there, Glovinsky said.

He did not know the family and entered the apartment through an unlocked door, the chief said.

''The guy has no reason to be in that apartment whatsoever,'' Glovinsky said. ''They didn't know him. He just walked in.''

It was unclear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident, Glovinsky said. Police contacted immigration officials and found Sanchez-Martinez is an illegal alien who has been deported at least once, Glovinsky said.

Sanchez-Martinez is due in Huron Municipal Court Friday for a preliminary hearing, according to court records. He is being held in the Erie County Jail.

deport them all NOW
Stop the insanity. Every crime committed by an illegal alien is 100% preventable if our borders were secured, our laws enforced, sanctuary cities outlawed and law enforcement would do their job. Enough is enough. Deport them all, stop pandering to illegal aliens and jeopardizing public safety in the process.

USA neoslavery hurts everyone
USA politician's support of neoslavery may now have caused a criminal attack on a young girl. Support for neoslavery also killed again in the Utah Mine. Politicians want neoslavery. Politicians want a permanent underclass, unable to speak English. While the politicians only want cheap labor for their supporters, the very type of people they choose to exploit are not always hard working Latinos, but also criminal Latinos.
The search for six miners, some apparently illegal aliens, missing deep underground was abruptly halted after a second cave-in killed three rescue workers and injured at least six others bravely trying to tunnel through rubble to reach them. The 20 plus year of politician's support for neoslavery led to these deaths.
Politicians want neoslavery. Politicians want a permanent underclass, unable to speak English. Politicians enable corporations to use the neoslaves to do low paying and sometimes, in the case of Utah coal mining, unsafe work.
Neoslavery is the condition of maintaining a permanent population of exploited workers. This can be done by inducing poor migrants into the USA, either legally or illegally, and then helping them avoid learning to speak English, helping them remain in the USA while skirting the law and helping them to supplement meager incomes with taxpayer supported hand-outs. When neoslavery takes hold in an industry the wages and benefits of USA citizens can be impacted tremendously.
Neoslavery also exploits the USA citizens who are forced to pay taxes to subsidize it.
Neoslaves may be illegal aliens or, as many politicians for neoslavery want, legalized residents of the USA. Many supporters of neoslavery wanted to make all illegal aliens citizens, hoping this would disguise their exploitation of the neoslaves, usually poor Mexicans and other Latino people.
Neoslaves are not true slaves, for they are not in physical bondage. The "compassionate" politicians who like neoslavery use taxpayer money to create softer bonds with links of taxpayer paid benefits.
Heartless politicians supporting neoslavery must be voted out of office in 2008.
