BLOODY MARY

1 2/3 oz. vodka

5 oz. tomato juice

2/3 oz. fresh lemon juice

pinch celery salt

2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

2 dashes Tabasco sauce

freshly cracked black pepper

Fill the highball glass with ice cubes. Stir in tomato, lemon juice and vodka. Add spices. Add a coarse grind (or cracked) fresh black pepper and stir.
Garnish with a wedge of lime twisted onto the salted rim of the highball glass. Serve with a celery stalk, complete with leaves as a stirrer.


CLASSIC CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL

2/3 oz. cognac

2 dashes angostura bitters

1 sugar cube or 1 teaspoon sugar

dry champagne

Place the sugar cube or sugar in a champagne glass and soak with Angostura. Add cognac and fill glass to top with champagne. Stir and garnish with an orange or lemon wedge and a maraschino cherry or an olive.




JELLO SHOTS

3 packages of Jello containing sugar

1 1/2 cups vodka

3 1/3 cups water

Bring the water to a boil and remove from heat. Slowly stir in the Jello until dissolved. Wait 3 minutes, then stir in the vodka.
Pour into individual shot-size cups and chill.


BRANDY ALEXANDER

3 ounces dark creme de cocoa

1 1/2 ounces brandy

1 pt. vanilla ice cream

1 c. crushed ice

Put all ingredients in blender. Cover and frappe until sherbet consistency. Serve in small brandy snifters with nutmeg sprinkled on top. Yield: 6 (3 oz.) drinks.

MANHATTAN

4 oz blended whiskey (1/2 cup)

2 oz sweet vermouth (1/4 cup)

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Garnish: maraschino cherries


Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, then add all ingredients and shake or stir well. Strain into 2 Martini glasses. Can be served on the rocks as well

Serves 2.


LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

1/2 oz (1 tablespoon) gin

1/2 oz (1 tablespoon) vodka

1/2 oz (1 tablespoon) light rum

1/2 oz (1 tablespoon) tequila

1/2 oz (1 tablespoon) triple sec

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon superfine granulated sugar

1 cup ice cubes

1/2 cup cola

Garnish: lemon wedge

Combine all ingredients except cola in a cocktail shaker and shake 5 seconds. Strain into a very tall (16-ounce) glass filled with ice cues, then top off with cola and stir. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

CAPE CODDER

2 ounces vodka

4 ounces cranberry juice

Lime slice

In a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes, combine the vodka and cranberry juice. Stir well. Garnish with lime slice.

COSMOPOLITAN

1 1/4 ounces Absolut Citron vodka (about 2 1/2 tablespoons)

1/4 ounce Rose's lime juice (about 3/4 tablespoon)

1/4 ounce triple sec or Cointreau (about 3/4 tablespoon)

1/4 cup cranberry juice

1 cup ice cubes

Garnish: lime twist

In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients. Shake well and strain into a Martini glass.

Garnish drink with lime.

MARTINI

Ice cubes

1 cup gin or vodka (or enough to fill the martini glass)

1 tablespoon dry vermouth (even less for dry or very dry martini)

Several large pimento-stuffed green olives

Fill 4-cup glass measuring cup 1/3 full with ice. Add gin or vodka and vermouth. Stir gently. Or pour ingredients and ice into shaker and shake well. Immediately strain mixture in chilled Martini glasses. Add olives to each glass and serve immediately.

FROZEN MANGO OR STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI

3 oz (1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons) amber rum

1 1/2 cups (1-inch) cubes of firm-ripe mango (from two 1-lb mangoes), frozen or same amount of frozen strawberries

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 oz (2 tablespoons) triple sec

4 teaspoons superfine granulated sugar

2 cups ice cubes

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.

GIN AND TONIC

1 lime wedge

1/4 cup gin

1/4 cup tonic water

Place lime wedge and gin in small glass; mash with back of spoon. Add tonic water; stir to blend. Fill with ice and serve.

SEA BREEZE

1 1/2 ounces vodka

2 ounces grapefruit juice

3 ounces cranberry juice

Lime slice

Pour the vodka, grapefruit and cranberry juices into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with lime slice.

PLANTERS PUNCH - RUM SWIZZEL

2 oz. white rum

1 oz. dark rum

1/2 oz. apricot brandy

1/2 oz. sugar

2 dashes angostura bitters

Juice of 2 lemons or limes

Mix well and chill.

BANANA BANSHEE

1 part banana liquor

1 part white creme de cocoa

Vanilla ice cream

A little milk

Blend all ingredients until thick and creamy. Serve as an after dinner drink.

SEX ON THE BEACH

1 oz Vodka

3/4 oz Peach schnapps Cranberry juice Grapefruit juice

Pour over ice in a highball glass.

APPLE MARTINI

1 part Vodka 1 part Sour Apple schnapps 1 part Apple juice Poor all ingredients into a shaker. Shake well and strain into a Martini glass.

Garnish with a thin slice of green apple.

AMARETTO SOUR

1 1/2 oz Amaretto

3 oz Sour mix

Shake and strain. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.

GODIVA CHOCOLATE MARTINI

1 1/2 shots Godiva® chocolate liqueur

1 1/2 shots creme de cacao

1/2 shot vodka

2 1/2 shots half-and-half

Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake and pour into a chilled cocktail glass.

Tequila Bay Breeze

1 oz Tequila Rose strawberry cream liqueur

1/2 oz Midori melon liqueur

1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur

1/4 oz 151 proof rum

1 1/2 oz orange juice

1 1/2 oz pineapple juice ice cubes

Blend.

Absolut Lemonade

1 oz Absolut Citron vodka

1 oz amaretto almond liqueur

2 oz sweet and sour mix

ice

Sprite soda

Mix alcohol, sweet and sour. Add Ice and top off with Sprite.

BAHAMA MAMA

1/4 oz coffee liqueur

1/2 oz dark rum

1/2 oz coconut liqueur

1/4 oz 151 proof rum

juice of 1/2 lemons

4 oz pineapple juice

Combine all ingredients and pour over cracked ice in a collins glass. Decorate with a strawberry or cherry and serve.
