The Orchid Extravaganza continues through Mothers Day, May 13.
Theres springtime beauty outdoors as well. Visitors will feast their eyes on acres of budding gardens full of daffodils, tulips, magnolias, azaleas and flowering cherries. Also on view are millions of hardly little bulbs, such as amethysts, aquamarines and lapis lazuli. Sparkling in the grass, they were liberally scattered by Longwoods gem-loving gardeners.
Adding to Longwoods celebration of spring are a variety of daily programs, including gardening demonstrations and childrens activities, plus an Easter weekend of special events.
This Saturday, visitors of all ages can have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny in the Terrace Restaurant. Seatings at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. The popular event always sells out, so early reservations are suggested.
