"We have a very talented and very experienced team," Tocco said. "I'd be very disappointed if we didn't win the section this year. We've got the players to make it happen."
Keying the offense for Kingston are three veteran players at the attack position, seniors Jack Corts and Andrew Ferrigan and junior Jordan Taylor.
Corts was the second leading scorer last season for Kingston and could carry the scoring load.
"Jack's been with me four of the eight years I've coached here," Tocco said. "He had some tough luck losing parts of two seasons (appendectomy and sprained ankle), but he was phenomenal last year. Jordan made it into the rotation as a sophomore last year and he had three goals and two assists in the Pine Bush game.
"Andrew is also going to score some goals for us this season."
Senior Brandon Berger rounds out the position.
At midfield, seniors Sean Markes, Jay Null and Ryan Ham head that unit.
All three should contribute on the offensive end and help plug up the defense.
"Sean is a three-year player and he's got the skills you need both offensively and defensively," Tocco said. "He'a also a team leader, especially for the other middies. Jay is well-rounded player that can do it all and Ryan goes 1,000 miles per hour and is Mr. Intensity."
Senior Jarrett Sprague, juniors Red Shultis and Troy Freeman and sophomore Khalil Franklin will also see plenty of time at the midfield position.
"Jarrett can play attack or middie and Shultis is solid and really matured since last year," Tocco said. "Troy and Khalil are both very athletic players."
Senior Mike Cahill will handle the face-offs for the Tigers, a role he has graciously accepted.
"Mike is a quiet guy who just goes about his business and does what it takes," Tocco said. "He's ready to help us control the ball and get the offense in gear."
On defense, seniors Greg Zifchak and Eric Sauer are expected to lead by example for the unit with the largest number of new varsity players.
"Greg and Eric are top defenders and will have a positive effect on the others," Tocco said. "Mike Henderson is a new player that will get physical when we need it and guys like Mike Miller and Clay Boughton have showed me they're ready to contribute."
Senior Brandon Delisio is the starting goalkeeper for the Tigers, headed to play Division I collegiate lacrosse in the fall at Holy Cross University.
He made 139 saves in 256 shots on goal last season.
"Brandon is in charge of a defense that works very well together," Tocco said. "He is the quarterback on the field and he's a tremendous leader. Mike Hinchey is his back-up and he got some good experience at the end of last year."
