New Auburn author Michael Perry visited the Northern Star Centre for the Arts in Rice Lake Tuesday, Oct. 17, to officially announce the release of his latest book "Truck: A Love Story." Perry signed books and read from his new book. The visit to Northern Star was part of a book tour that will take Perry to Minnesota for the rest of the month and to Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri in November. Perry's latest literary adventure once again takes a look at his life in New Auburn, much like his previous books "Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren At A Time" and "Off Main Street." Perry has also released a CD with his band Michael Perry and the Long Beds, who performed at the end of the visit in Rice Lake. The 10-song album, entitled "Headwinded," and any of Perry's books can be purchased at www.sneezingcow.com.
