Margaret P. Eggert, 86

BURLINGTON -- Margaret Poinsett Eggert, 86, of Burlington, died Thursday in the Masonic Home in Burlington.

Born in Trenton, Mrs. Eggert was a resident of Hamilton from 1960 until moving to Leisure Park in Lakewood in 2003. She was a resident of the Masonic Home since 2005.

She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1938, a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Hamilton Square, and a former member of the Greenwood Avenue Methodist Church.

Mrs. Eggert retired from Hill Harbourt and Co. of Trenton after 15 years of service.

Predeceased by her parents, George and Ella Poinsett, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, Henry W. Eggert of Burlington; a son and daughter-in-law, H. William and Joan Eggert of Brick; a grandson and his wife, William A. and Maura Eggert of Point Pleasant; three great-grandchildren, Colin Matthew, Braden Patrick, and Haley Rebecca, all of Point Pleasant; and a cousin, Barbara Smith of Hamilton Square.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Ave., Hamilton Square.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Burlington, 902 Jacksonville Road, Burlington, NJ 08016.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
