a salute to sligo
I think it is wonderful that the Sligo Boro has decided to move forward with a police officer. However I am sure Sligo residents would be more receptive to their taxes being raised if they can see that the Boro is making an effort to reduce expenses in other areas such as administration like other governments in the country are doing.

GUN CONTROL
April 9, 2008

It has been shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that when gun control is established crimes goes up, murder is increased and despots take over the government. Following this it has been shown in history past that the people are then rounded up who are a threat to these despots and exterminated. History has shown again and again that when only criminals and the government have weapons murder, crime and extermination is what follows. History has also shown that gun control is the first step toward fascism, communist and dictatorship. There must be some type of system set in place that adheres to the United States Constitution and is fair to all law abiding citizens to own and bear arms. It has been shown time and time again that guns do not kill people but rather it’s the individual who pulls the trigger that kills people. A murderer does not necessarily need a gun to kill. The American citizens have a constitutional right as well as a human right to own and bear arms with some reasonable limitations and constraints. Both sides of this argument should enter into an agreement that protects the law abiding citizen right to bear arms and keep firearms out of the hands of criminals and others that cause pain and death to the law abiding citizen. It is my opinion that Hillary Clinton as President would urge Congress to set in place reasonable and constitutional controls over the ownership for sports and home protection and in the case of a national emergency or invasion a citizen’s right to have and to bear arms.
