''I loved going to the games this year,'' the Olmsted Falls High School product said.
Collins was hurt and didn't participate in the drills.
Gansey doesn't know if the Cavaliers are considering him with their 25th pick.
''Shannon and Mardy are very highly thought of,'' he said. ''It's up to (the Cavaliers). Whatever the Cavs are looking for. I wanted to show the kind of player I am.''
Rumor mill
Rumors around the league said the Cavaliers have promised Texas point guard Daniel Gibson that they'd take him with the No. 25 pick.
A league source insisted yesterday the Cavaliers have made no promises to any players in Wednesday's NBA draft.
A popular Web site, Draft Express, reported yesterday that Gibson would be earmarked to Cleveland.
He worked out for the Cavaliers on June 1 at Quicken Loans Arena, along with Illinois point guard Dee Brown and Illinois power forward James Augustine.
Draft Express said Gibson has shut down his individual workouts and withdrew from the Orlando pre-draft camp two weeks ago.
He worked out for just two teams, the Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets.
Scouts say he's a good offensive player who can score. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder averaged 13.4 points and 3.1 assists for the Longhorns last year.
But he's not a pure point guard and will be a combo guard in the NBA. Most expect him to be drafted early in the second round.
Quick shots
- Portland (No. 4) is trying to move up in the draft to get its hands on Gonzaga small forward Adam Morrison.
The reason? Charlotte might take him with the third pick.
- Rutgers combo guard Quincy Douby didn't make his high school's JV team until his junior year. He's a bit of a late bloomer. He certainly made up for lost time.
- The Cavaliers aren't hosting a draft party this year for fans at Quicken Loans Arena.
