New Postmaster in Roxbury

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal swore in Leslie Quental as the newly appointed Postmaster of Roxbury during U.S. Postal Service Connecticut District End-of-Year Meeting held at the Dodge Theater, Hartford.
ROXBURY - Leslie Quental, a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Postal Service, was ceremonially sworn in as Postmaster of Roxbury during the Connecticut District's End-of-Year meeting at the Dodge Theater in Hartford.

Officiated by Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, Ms. Quental was one of 25 newly appointed postmasters in the state participating in this event.

This was the first time such a large group of postmasters have been officially sworn in together.

Prior to becoming the town's newest postmaster, Ms. Quental was a supervisor of distribution operations at the Southern Connecticut Processing and Distribution Center in Wallingford.

She started her postal career as a letter sorting machine operator in New Haven.

The new postmaster is responsible for seven employees, three delivery routes and 280 Post Office boxes. The retail hours of the Roxbury Post Office, located at, 26 North Street, are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
