BodyBlocks Nutrition Systems, Inc., a new Atlanta-based functional food and beverage company, has signed five-time Olympic gold medalist and track phenomenon Michael Johnson as its premier product spokesperson.

            Michael Johnson joins BodyBlocks as it launches "N Motion," a new brand of nutritious energy products for people with active lifestyles.  The N Motion energy line features one snack bar and two drinks, including the first caffeine-free energy drink available to market.  Johnson will represent N Motion and future BodyBlocks brands and products in marketing and advertising campaigns, at retail and media appearances and speaking engagements.

A devoted father, and businessman, Johnson recognizes the importance of maintaining good nutrition and high energy levels in the midst of a busy lifestyle.  Since retiring in 2001, he has started his own sports consulting company, provides television commentary and writes a regular newspaper column.  He will serve as an ESPN commentator during the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece later this month.

Johnson electrified the world by delivering one of the greatest individual track and field performances during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.   He was the gold medal champion in the 200- and 400-meter track competitions.  He was also the World 400-meter champion in 1993, 1995, 1997 and 1999.  He continues to hold the indoor 400-meter world record at 44.63 seconds set in Atlanta in 1995.
