The show, which Demorest was promoting along with Woodstock musician Robbie Dupree, was to benefit the Kingston High varsity club and aid in raising money for the public address system at Kate Walton.

Rather than cancel the card, Demorest said that the show will be moved to 7:30 p.m. on March 6 at the field house.

"The change in date could work better for us because we might have more fighters available," he said.

Local boxers scheduled to compete include West Hurley's Josh Carle, Dan Lehman from New Paltz, Poughkeepsie's Tyler Charlest and Haley Pearson of Phoenicia.

Anyone who purchased tickets for the event can either return the tickets for a full refund or hold onto the tickets as they will be honored at the March 6 show.

Tickets, $5 for bleachers and $10 ringside, will remain on sale at Demorest's gym, the field house, Anaconda Sports and Jewelry Expressions at the Kings Mall.
