Annual FunFest will be held Saturday

The Annual Conshohocken FunFest will be held on October 4 between Elm Street and 3rd Avenue along Fayette Street.
Parking will be available in various lots throughout the community and on all side streets.

The Annual Conshohocken FunFest will be held on October 4 between Elm Street and 3rd Avenue along Fayette Street.
Parking will be available in various lots throughout the community and on all side streets.
This is the 11th Annual event, which was first coordinated by Ray Weinman.
That first year, said Vince Flocco, there were approximately 200 runners in the 5K run.
This year, between 500 and 1,000 racers and walkers are expected.
Citizen's Bank is sponsoring the race itself.
Murray Dodge Kia will sponsor the entertainment segment of the event and Sovereign Bank is sponsoring the Children's Corner.
Comiskey Players will perform inside Toad's Tavern on East First Avenue between 2 and 5 p.m. Perma Moog Project will perform between 7 p.m. and midnight.
As soon as the race has concluded, the Special Division Soap Box Derby, sponsored by the AMBUCS, will commence at 10:30 a.m.

Twenty-five arts and crafts vendors are expected, said Butch Coll.
There will various food vendors where edibles may be purchased.

* 5:00- 6:45 p.m. Harper's Ferry
Stage A is located at First and Fayette
Stage B will be at the parking deck at First and Fayette
Stage C will be the Flocco parking lot
Events will begin at 9 a.m. with the 5K Race through Conshohocken's business district.
The FunFest will be held rain or shine.
Racers and walkers will be given T-shirts, which will also be available for sale.
After the race begins, arts and crafts and food vendors will open.
