Hi, I lived in the village of Bliss for a little over 6 years until my companion of over 20 years Mike Hedges died in 2006. What I mis most about Wyoming county is this time of year and the neighbors who allways gave a wave when we passed. I enjoy reading this e-paper every week. Thank you janet Hudson

It is really bad that the WDA is fighting Wal-Mart's growth. I checked out the Downtown area, to see if they have anything to worry about, with the growth of Wal-Mart.
Unfortunately, the parking was not good, so I figure that was the first strike against the downtown area.
Then I could only find two business that are in competition with Wal-mart. Montgomery Shoes and Sinclair's. Montgomery Shoes was cramped, little selection and poor service. Sinclair's had poor service. So, I think I will stick with the pharmacy at Wal-Mart and continue to buy my shoes there.
As I learned in business class, competition is good for the consumer, because it makes the business work harder and supplying a better product and better service.
WDA wants it the easy way, by eliminating the competition. Just look at McDonald's and you can see why we need some competition in Warsaw.

I was saddned by the death of Emil L. Purga, former Principal of Wyoming Central School. My thoughts and prayers are with the Purga Family in this grievous time. Mr. Purga was an inspiration to all that had the honor of knowing him. Thank you for being there when your Students needed a Good "Role" model to look up to.
God Speed!

After reading about the issues with having more wind power in Wyoming County, I think that residents should read this. It soon will not be a choice so you better look long and hard now so you have some control. Go to this story.
