Communities 4 Children

The project was established in 1997 to allow local governance, planning and service design for children and families of these counties. The project strives to reduce out of home placements for youths and places emphasis on early intervention an prevention programs. Funding is through the categorical appropriations for child welfare, juvenile justice and various grants. This collaborative is open to the public and meets every third Tuesday at 11:00 at the Iowa State Extension Office in Guthrie Center, Iowa
